With the increasing demand for energy such as oil and gas, people start to look for their sources in remote and untouched places. Do the advantages of this development outweigh the disadvantages?

练习

Much petrol energy in rural places has been exploit to satisfy people’s demand. I believe this behavior can bring us much negative effect, although people’s life can acquire a temporary improvement.

Many will animals can find nowhere for them to live in and lose their own life, which are sensitive to the changes of environment. It is not only because many trees and plants are destroyed in the process of development, but also because the noise made by these giant and heavy machines can disturb the routine of these animals. If this situation maintain for a long period, the lifestyle of these animals can be distorted and many of them may die of the over shocking. After several species permanently disappear in this area, the whole ecosystem will be destroyed too.

Another drawback is that the air quality of our world may become much worse than before. Because the large amount of petrol energy supplement can cause a dramatic decrease of the oil price in local market and many people may thus buy some transport tools powered by petrol oil, which can emit the greenhouse gas and do harm to our environment. Before long, our citizens can only live in a environment with terrible air quality and our life expectancy can be much shorter than before.

On the other hand, this behavior may improve people’s standard of life to some extent, because the cost of using cars can be lower than before and more people are willing to drive their cars to any places. The consequence is that much time can be saved during the commuting and people can use the extra time to enjoy their own life. People having a good relaxation can always promise a good performance in workspace too.

To be concluded, while looking for the energy in countryside can bring a lower price of these recourses, people may thus do harm to our environment and creatures.
