Nowadays, it is common for school to convey both knowledge and moral behavior to their students. Although some people think it is just a waste of time, i agree with this behavior.
Students will have a better career prospect when they step into society, if they receive an education in a school where only teach academic subjects to students. it is not only because much time can be save to learn all kinds of necessary knowledge, but also because students will not be distracted from learning by other knowledge concerned with moral. They can fully focus themselves on the school books to sharpen their skill set and have a better competitiveness when graduating from school. In contrast, other students who spend too much time learning how to be a good man will probably not be as excellent as these people in the performance of learning and not be appreciated by their leaders in workspace.
On the other hand, some people argue that teaching people to discriminate between right and wrong is also significant. Many young people who don’t receive education in this aspect can easily be cheated by other people to form some bad habits like being addictive to mobile games, alcohol, smoke and so on. These bad behaviors will have a negative influence on the efficiency of study and on the impression from their employers in the future. The consequence is that they can not ensure the productivity and not have the chance to get a promotion in their job.
In my opinion, moderate education in the ability of discrimination is a necessity for students as our society will be more harmonious and peaceful thanks to this. When knowing how to be well behaved, many young people will think twice before trying to do some bad things and many of them will give this thought up at last. The rate of crime in our society will thus see a dramatic decrease and many young people who ought to be in prison will promise a brighter future. Before long, our government can save much money on social management too.
